Designed for Indie Mamashop, a social enterprise that creates income opportunities for the economically-disadvantaged in Singapore's community.
Atika is a series of bags constructed using fabric scraps from a garment factory.
The design includes a system of production where makers pick-up pre-matched fabric, join them together to form a 'new fabric' which is then made into drawstring pouches and totes using simple sewing techniques.
These bags also carry a hint of the maker's style as she plans the orientation in which the fabric are joined.
