Gen Sacco

In celebration of the 50th anniversay of the iconic Sacco bean bag, W.Atelier and Zanotta put out an open call for concepts of the Sacco in the theme of ‘Urban Living the Asian Way’.

One of the top three designs at the showcase, Gen Sacco is inspired by the value of filial piety that is strongly emphasised across asian cultures. It is common to find many generations living under the same roof.

Gen Sacco’s ability to join with another represents this practice of extending one’s family, house, and connecting circles of people together.
