M-Mod Specs

M-Mod Specs is a pair of modular spectacles with interchangeable frame fronts. M-Mod’s frame fronts snap easily onto the frame body. Frame fronts in a variety of shapes act as visual filters that add swatches of texture to each look (both inwards and outwards).

Addressing Singaplural 2016’s theme of ‘Senses’, M-Mod Specs is a play on our sense of sight by altering our visual perception of reality. The snap-on-snap-off nature of M-Mod allows for a larger eyewear collection without having repeated parts, reducing material waste. Environmental consciousness aside, M-Mod Specs also explores eyewear as identity rather than as a visual aid.
