OMO Bag
November 2016

A piece developed from ‘Transformation Bags’, for production in Indonesia by Indonesian designer Fani Atmanti.

Omo bag is made using Afoa wood native to the Nias island. This wood is traditionally used by villagers to build their homes or to carve into ornamental sculptures and figurines.

Through using this wood in contemporary design, Omo hopes to keep traditional craft relevant to a homogenising global culture.
