SaloneSatellite is an event founded by Marva Griffin in 1998 dedicated to designers under 35, which aims to facilitate the relationship between business and young designers.
The studio launched new small tables and vessels under 'So Plast!c'. Plastic waste is collected, cleaned, and used to produce each unique piece. So Plast!c changes the perception of disposables by turning them into precious objects. So Plast!c harnesses the potential of plastic waste to exist as permanent pieces of design art for homes and commercial spaces. Lots of people asked where they could find them after the fair, so we created an IG shop - a digital catalogue of handmade items from the studio. No two pieces are the same! Studio Karyn Lim was amongst the first recipients of the Young Designers Showcase Grant by Boutique Fairs. It was our first time taking part in a retail-centric fair, and we took the opportunity to launch new accessories from the 'Lightness' series.

Pecha Kucha, which usually means 'chit-chat', is a unique presentation format of '20x20', meaning 20 images x 20 seconds per slide. It was invented by founders Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein as a solution to overly long presentations.

EMERGE featured the works of Southeast Asian designers around the theme of 'Materiality'.
Lightness of Being A series of sculptures and vessels hand-crochet from copper wire. Metal is often perceived as cold, hard, and heavy material. However, when woven from its flexible wire form, it has the potential to produce extremely light, buoyant volumes. EMERGE 22-24 September 2022 Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center, Singapore |
